Chapter Meeting Minutes

Meeting held at Four Points Sheraton

 

Agenda:

1)  Call the meeting to Order

- 4:17 p.m.  Michele Bogner called the Chapter meeting to order.

 

2)     Award Recognition

+ Matt Redmann received Champion of Excellence Award

+ Our Chapter received for the 7th consecutive year the Chapter of  

    the Year Award.

+ Michele Bogner was recognized for her fine role as Chapter

    President

 

3)     Summary of Chapter Activities/Goals 2006

 

1.      Earth Day Clean-Up

2.      SC Johnson Tour

3.      Quadgraphics Tour

4.      November Meeting – Speaker Brenda Naite/SCJ

 

4)     Committee Reports

Promotions:

            Tracy Toltzman – Thanks to the people who volunteered to staff the

                                                CHMM/FET Booth at the Annual Conference.

                                               

Next opportunity to staff the booth will be the

                                                KGMB Conference on May 11, 3007.  Looking

                                                for a volunteer to handle that.

 

                                                Next CHMM Event is the Earth Day River

                                                Clean Up , Saturday April 21st, 2007.  Meet

                                                9:00 am in the Miller Park east Parking lot.

 

                                                Awards applications are due April 20th, 2007.

 

Education:

            Patrick Rego reported that this year there would be two CHMM

            review courses offered.  15 people sat for the written exam, and

            this will be the last year that a manual test will be offered. 

            Electronic testing will begin in May 2007.

 

 

Nomitations:

            Matt Redmann reported  that we have a new president-elect Mary

Joann Thurman, CHMM: Majo is the Director of Environmental

Health and Safety with worldwide responsibilities for Rockwell

Automation.  We are pleased to welcome her to her new role with

FET and CHMM chapter.

 

Kristi Linsmeier will come on as the Chapters’ Nominations Chair.

 

5)     New Business

Sonji Carter welcomed as the in-coming President.  Potential meetings for the year ahead include:

            April – Earth Day Clean Up at the Hank Aaron State Trail

            May – Speaker:  Steve Laughlin, at Harley Davidson

            September – TBD

            November – Following the RCRA Update Course

March – Leadership Conference (Tentative

March – Environment 2008 Conference

            April – 2008 Earth Day Activity

 

2007-08 Chapter goals include; provide train-the-trainer information, host the ACHMM Leadership Training, increase participation of public outreach and a park clean-up event.
